6-week reading and speaking online group course
Next course starts Thursday 8th February 2024.
This course could be perfect for you if:
- you are a healthcare professional;
- your English level is around B2 (upper-intermediate);
- you would like to improve your reading and practise speaking English with other healthcare professionals;
- you are planning to take OET in the future.
Each week you will:
- Read about a healthcare issue.
- Reflect on the topic and share your opinions with other health professionals, in a friendly, supportive environment.
- Improve your reading skills by focusing on language areas such as vocabulary or grammar.
Includes one 90-minute online lesson per week, Thursdays, 1 to 2.30 pm UK time, and all resources.

Who is this course for?
Healthcare professionals whose English level is around B2 (upper-intermediate); Healthcare professionals who want to improve their English reading skills and practise speaking English; Healthcare professionals preparing for the Occupational English Test.
What sort of texts will I read? One short short text or article on a healthcare topic per week. Texts on general healthcare topics. They are not exam practice tests, but reading these texts can help you prepare for an exam such as OET.
Will I improve my medical knowledge? Not necessarily! The main aim is to help you improve your reading and speaking skills in English.
